Résumé
Cars and Coffee, Caserta 9th May
On the 9th of May 2015 Cars and Coffee summoned Southern Italian car enthusiasts in a town where the art and the past of our Country get together in a unique way: Caserta. During the morning event, reserved to car owners, over one hundred between supercars and very high level classic cars were displayed in a picturesque setting, surrounded by olive trees. Their proud owners came from all over the South, islands included. Special guest of the Caserta day was the debuting Puritalia. Paolo Parente, the entrepreneur who conceived the car, was there on his first model, the 427, admired by everybody. All age periods were there, with cars like the Ferrari 250GT/E and 250 GT Spider of the Sixties parked on the lawn next to the futuristic BMW I8. Very rare models, like a Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada, made in just 133 units, formerly owned by singer Little Tony, a Jaguar XJ220, made in only 281 units or the only Ferrari Testarossa Barchetta ever made by Scuderia Baldini & Co were quite something. A larger proportion of classic cars characterised this event. Our special thanks go to the wonderful audience in Caserta, that made the atmosphere at the afternoon display, at Belvedere di San Leucio, truly magic. Photos by Francesco Carlo
