Dreamcars and rare vehicles in and around Salzburg

More than 35 exclusive vehicles joined the very first official Cars & Coffee event in Salzburg mid of September in really mixed weather conditions. Of some of the cars you may only find a handful worldwide.

Austria’s first Cars & Coffee opened the doors for a private gala dinner at the famous Hellbrunn castle in the evening of the 16th of September. The delicious food of the Gasthaus Hellbrunn as well as the fantastic royal ambience of the Trabantensaal created an unforgettable first impression for the approximately 70 participating people from five countries.
Due to the bad weather forecast, the quantity was behind the expectations of the organizers Doris Kainzmaier-Böck and Matthias Mauritz, but not at all the quality of the cars. All together 17 different brands with exotics like the Mosler MT 900, futuristic cars like the BMW i8, luxury cars like a Rolls Royce Wraith and of course the classic sports- and supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and AMG. A lot of special attention got caught by a Ferrari Touring Berlinetta Lusso, one out of five cars existing worldwide. This colorful mix created the basis for interesting conversations and a very diverting first evening of the event.

On Sunday the participants met for the public part of the event at the Casino Salzburg Schloss Klessheim. Guided by the official Porsche 911 of the Austrian police, the cars arrived at the casino at 11 a.m. and were presented to the approx. 500 visitors at the stunning location of the Klessheim castle.

During this part oft he event, the best car of the show was awarded: A Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante was elected directly by the participants and received the trophy for the highest score in originality, design and elegance.

The visitors and photographers used the few dry hours of the weekend to take their photos and the participants spent the time for networking and to enjoy the casino’s buffet before leaving the event on Sunday afternoon with a lot of positive emotions.

The enthusiasm among everybody involved as well as the completely positive feedback from all the sides encouraged the organizers to start planning the 2018 event straight away. Traumwagen und Raritäten in Salzburg und Umgebung

Bei sehr wechselhaftem Wetter fanden sich am mittleren Septemberwochenende gut 35 Edelkarossen zum ersten offiziellen Cars & Coffee Event in Salzburg ein. Darunter sogar Fahrzeuge, von denen weltweit nur eine Handvoll existieren.

Am Samstagabend startete das erste Cars & Coffee Österreichs, eine weltweit bekannte Eventreihe für Sportwagen und hochwertige klassische Fahrzeuge, mit einem privaten Galadinner im Salzburger Schloss Hellbrunn. Vorzügliches Essen aus dem Gasthaus Hellbrunn sowie das traumhafte Ambiente im Trabantensaal sorgten für einen unvergesslichen ersten Eindruck unter den knapp 70 teilnehmenden Personen aus fünf Nationen. Aufgrund der schlechten Wettervorhersagen blieb zwar die Anzahl der Teilnehmer hinter den Erwartungen der Veranstalter Doris Kainzmaier-Böck und Matthias Mauritz zurück, nicht aber die Qualität der Autos. Insgesamt 17 verschiedene Marken von exotischen Mosler MT900 über futuristische Autos wie dem BMW i8 und Edelkarossen wie einen Rolls Royce Wraith bis hin zu den klassischen Sport- und Supersportwagen aus den Häusern Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche und AMG. Ganz besonderes Interesse weckte ein Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso, eines von nur fünf weltweit existierenden Fahrzeugen dieser Art. Diese bunte Mischung sorgte für mehr als ausreichend Gesprächsstoff und einen kurzweiligen ersten Abend der Veranstaltung.

Am Sonntag fanden sich die Teilnehmer dann zum öffentlichen Veranstaltungsteil am Casino Salzburg Schloß Klessheim ein. Angeführt vom offiziellen Polizei Porsche 911 trafen die Autos um 11:00 Uhr am Casino ein und wurden in traumhafter Kulisse den knapp 500 Besuchern präsentiert.
Im Rahmen dieses Veranstaltungsteils wurde der „Best of Show“ Pokal für das schönste und auffälligste Fahrzeug der Veranstaltung, einen Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, verliehen. Die Gäste und Fotografen vor Ort nutzten die wenigen trockenen Stunden des Wochenendes für ihre Fotos und die Teilnehmer nutzten die Zeit, um noch ein wenig zu netzwerken und sich am Buffet im Casino zu stärken, bevor sie am Sonntagnachmittag zufrieden die Heimreise angetreten sind.

Die große Begeisterung aller Beteiligten während des Events sowie das durchwegs positive Feedback im Anschluss bestärken die Veranstalter, sich schon bald an die Planungen für die zweite Auflage in 2018 zu machen.
